I had heard about this challenge a few months ago. It wasn't until a friend of mine encouraged me to enter that I considered actually doing it. I was active in high school and college, I had always loved dance, I had taken jazz, hip hop, ballet and salsa. But after I graduated dance wasn't a part of my daily routine, and the older I became the less I made it a priority.
I have always been health conscious about my diet, but still I yo-yo dieted. I would lose 20 lbs and vow to never gain it back, and I would gain it back.
I would even eat healthy, and work out to lose weight, and even then I would hit my goal, and stop.
I am entering this competition to stop the cycle. I think that this lifestyle challenge will be the best way to motivate myself and stay inspired to finish. I had heard about what a great community this is, and its true. My goals are to lose the extra pounds, make exercise an every day part of my life, and more importantly-I want to put on lean muscle and I want it to show. I find it hard to get my friends to go to the gym, and especially weight lift with me, so I am in there by myself every day. I want to take this opportunity to show females that weight training can actually give you a lean, toned physique.
I am excited to hear the input from other members and I am excited to create a new lifestyle that I will maintain for the rest of my life.
